Obama was all about gay rights before, but he did nothing; here he is again manipulating another minority group again for votes. He has hinder civil union bills from being passed, just so he could do this.

Times have changed, people are way more accepting to the idea of gay rights. This won't hurt Obama, just like when he said that the only people that don't vote for him are racist, during the last election.
Also, stop bitching about Bush, you don't hear me bitching about Clinton still and the other presidents before him, because now is more important than the past.Mitt Romney, though a little strange at least understands how the economy works, that alone makes him better than Obama. Also, Ron Paul would have plenty of support to legalize marijuana, well at least get rid of the federal ban on cannabis, because it is up to the state according to the Constitution if it should be legal or not.
The youth as you call it is expected to be the next hero generation, since we are more aware than the other generations before us.
Face it, Obama has done nothing that will fix anything long term. His short term fixes keep falling apart as well. Stop emotionally connecting to a man in office and start thinking. Use logic, stop falling for rhetoric, be an individual before you decide to go with a group.
