WTF? Charles’ level of talent is no where near what Saosin needs. He’s a good vocalist but his talent doesn’t come anywhere near Saosin’s abilities as musicians. I hope the demos prove me wrong, but i’m not looking forward to this. And why the hell is everyone saying that SAW is better? All they did was rip off Saosin’s signature sound. I mean, you guys do know that Saosin released the Translating the Name EP, Saosin EP, and Saosin LP before SAW’s conception right? The Translating the name EP was 2003, the Saosin EP was 2004, and the LP dropped in 2006 and SAW formed in 2007 obviously taking massive influence from Beau and Justin’s guitar styling. Listen to the Great White Whale record back to back with any of the afore mentioned Saosin records. It’s blatantly obvious that SAW did their best to mimic the Saosin sound.

@28 bullshit. Secret and Whisper are a lot more capable as musicians than Saosin. Sorry but Saosin just doesn’t cut it live, they’re not interesting to watch. Their last album was a joke. I will say the downside to Secret and Whisper is that Tennage Fantasy sounds exactly like Great White Whale. It’s great but there was no real change. If this is true then he should be a great frontman for them.

Saosin has always been amazing. I like Secret and Whisper, i do, but the first time i heard them, what did i think of? Saosin. Saosin came first, however i do think that if they need to replace the lead singer, this guy is a pretty good damn choice.

SAW is okay. Saosin’s self titled and Translating the Name top anything they’ve put out, Charles is a good vocalist.
Saosin has incredibly talented musicians. Unfortunately, Cove really hurt them.

Saosin is one of the most talented groups out there. Justin, Beau, and Chris are all ridiculously talented, Alex on the other hand, is just on another level compared to any other drummer. SaW sound pretty decent, but you can easily hear the obvious Saosin influence. I dig this guys vocals though, it seems like it will be a good fit. I’m excited to hear the new demos.

There’s so much hype behine them do to anthony green helping build a fan base. You don’t have to have perfect pitch to know cove can’t sing more than three notes.. hence the fact that they fired him for his inability to preform live. You must be 16…. or mentally challenged.

I love how everyone is freaking out like if this is true, that charles is done with S&W. Vocalists are known to be in more than one band. Look at fucking Jonny Craig (yeah I said it), he’s doing emarosa and DGD now. If it’s true, awesome, both bands are talented and great in their own way, and we get to hear more of them. If it’s not, fuck it, we have S&W safe and sound, and Saosin can keep searching, god knows there is plenty of fucking well suited vocalists out there. I’ve never heard of SAW until just now and i listened to both new saosin, SAW and old saosin. they sound the same except now, with the new, slightly deeper charles finn voice. the reason saosin was considered SAOCORE was because Cove’s voice was so unique it created a new genre. i think the genre should have been called something else and SAW should have also been under it
